Mushroom-free Vegan GravyNov 12, 2021
As the only vegan in my family, it's up to me to bring the vegan turkey and gravy to the Thanksgiving feast! My middle daughter and I are the only mushroom lovers in the house so I created this funghi free vegan gravy that everyone could eat. It's a favorite on the table whether you're vegan or not and it's super simple to make with only 6 ingredients needed.
I love to use no-chicken broth (Imagine Foods is my go to brand) in this savory recipe instead of straight chicken broth.
As the name suggests, no mushrooms are required for this flavorful sauce. However, if you are mushroom inclined, saute sliced mushrooms in vegan butter and then bold into the gravy for even more flavor.
Make this vegan friendly sauce one of the featured recipes on your Thanksgiving table. Prep plenty for pouring over your vegan turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing.
Serve this golden gravy as a finishing sauce over stuffed acorn squash too. We also drizzle it over our Thanksgiving Sweet Potato Nachos (recipe coming next week).
